To make a short story, long...

I grew up in a town where creativity is a must in order to keep busy. Henderson, Texas isn't your typical town of attractions. Whether I was building a fort outside with imaginary elevators or pretending to be a mermaid in my swimming pool, I truly had a mind of my own. Having two older sisters, who were too old to play with me, might have had something to do with it too. My mom gets credit as well. She's an amazing artist. I used to steal her old sketchbooks and draw all over the pages. I probably ruined them, but I wanted to be just as good as her.

Fast forward to 2009. I have now graduated from TCU and have held two jobs since then. Both gave me opportunities to explore my creative side and for that I am thankful. I left the first job in order to get closer to my first love, invitation design. The new job didn't give me much opportunity to design, but I was learning a lot about another important technique, typesetting. Unfortunately, that job was short lived. I was laid off in October, due to the bad economy. On the day I left that company, the CFO said to me, "We don't sell food." He was right. Invitations are not essential to our lives, but I can't just walk away from something I love so much. As heartbroken as I was to leave that job, I know God has a plan for me. Continuing on as a Typesetter just wasn't it.

The week I was laid off, my parents were gracious enough to buy me a brand new iMac with all the design programs I need to continue exploring my passion. I think they believe in me and that's an amazing feeling. I do not have another steady paying job. But, I do have a job, and that is to learn anything and everything about this passion of mine; to explore the creativity I have to offer. And along the way, hopefully people will see how important it is to me.

I hope you will take a few seconds to look at some of my work and the different projects I have been working on. And, if you like my work and need invitations, announcements, or stationery, shoot me an email. I'd love to create a special card just for you! If you're still not convinced, all I can ask is that you at least take a chance on me. I will do my best to make you a happy customer!
